Cleanup starts with an inventory, not a promise to fix every account in an arbitrary number of days. We look at what is available, where the records last agreed and which properties or entities are affected.
Find the source of the uncertainty
Common situations include transactions without a property reference, funding movements mixed with operating receipts, repeated entries and opening balances that lack support. We distinguish an actual bookkeeping error from a question that cannot yet be answered.
Work through an agreed sequence
- Identify the accounts, periods and property records in scope.
- Collect statements, exports and original supporting documents.
- Reconcile and investigate differences in the agreed order.
- Document corrections, remaining exceptions and the ongoing handoff.
Know what remains unresolved
A clean-looking report is not a substitute for evidence. Unavailable documents and accounting-policy decisions remain on an exception list with an owner and next action.
Continue only when the starting point is understood
We can scope monthly bookkeeping after the cleanup assessment. Historical work and ongoing work are priced according to the records and responsibilities involved.
